Fast Day 1

I survived!

I had a salad for lunch, spinach and plantains for dinner and a grapefruit.

I also joined my church for prayer in the morning and evening.

I feel good, physically and spiritually. Praise God!

One Day down 39 more to go . . .

  1. Congrats to you, the food you ate sounds delicious. I love all the foods you mentioned. I’m a big fan of darky leafy greens — collards and kale being my favorites.

Lent is going on at my Lutheran church. My daughter, and I’ll be attending the Lenten service this evening, a simple meal of soup and bread will be served before the actual service. My daughters doing the scripture reading this evening; II Timothy 3: 10 – 17.

I’m wear locs, and love them. I’ve been following your blog for a while. 🙂

    1. Thanks for commenting.

Your daughter is doign the scripture reading?!? That’s so exciting. Best of luck to her!

Thanks for following my blog! I never really think people are really listening/reading/watching. It’s almost frigthening to think so – makes me just want to take out my red marker and edit my blog. LOL! But I wont.

      Truly appreciate you!

      1. Indeed she is. During the month of lent, each Wednesday, a child will be reading the scripture. Followed by our pastor preaching the message.

I believe this is my first time commenting on your site, but I’ve followed you for a bit. I’ve wanted to see what’s going on with fellow loc wearers. I don’t run into many of them when I’m about. If I do, I usually see them from a distance. 😉
